لهُhe has لدعَاءِat an appeal to أَميرِthe Commander of المُسلمينَthe Muslims ارتِياحَةٌdelight
لهُ لدعَاءِ أَميرِ المُسلمينَ ارتِياحَةٌ
كأنas though غريضًاGharid أوor مُخارِقًاMukhariq غناهُsang to him
كأن غريضًا أو مُخارِقًا غناهُ
An appeal to the Commander of the Muslims fills him with delight,
The prayer of the Muslim leader is soothing
As though Gharid or Mukhariq had sung to him.
As if it were a downpour or dawn chorus
فكلتاfor both يَدَيهِhis two hands رَحمةٌmercy وكَرامَةٌand generosity
فكلتا يَدَيهِ رَحمةٌ وكَرامَةٌ
فياso, oh يُسْرَease يُسْرَاهُhis left hand وياand oh يُمْنَblessing يُمْناهُhis right hand
فيا يُسْرَ يُسْرَاهُ ويا يُمْنَ يُمْناهُ
For both his hands are mercy and generosity.
Both his hands are mercy and nobility
So, oh, the ease of his left hand, and the blessing of his right!
Oh ease, may He grant him ease, and goodness, may He bestow him goodness
