لا الَّذي قَدْ سَمَتْ بِهِ آفاقُ
What necklines and necklaces enfold,
What pockets and belts do not contain,
not the one that horizons have borne aloft.
Nor what horizons have aimed for,

That one dazzles the eyes, while this one
That satiates eyes, while this -
has a radiance within the heart's folds.
In the cheeks of the shy - radiates,
لَيْسَthere is not شَيءٌanything أبْهىlovelier وأبْهَرَand more dazzling مَرْأىto behold

Nothing is lovelier and more dazzling to behold
Nothing is more wondrous and dazzling to behold
than full moons turned by necks.
Than full moons turned by necks.
