Forsake finery in dress, and be
Abandon self-adornment in your attire, and don
clad, for God's sake, in the garment of fear and remorse.
The raiment of fear and regret for God alone.

If a man's honor lay in his garments,
If honor lay in garments that humans put on,
he would not remove the finest of them in the sanctuary.
They would not doff them inside the sacred zone.
