ماas long as دامَremains أمْرُهمُtheir state فِيin المُلكِsovereignty مُضْطرِباunstable
Fear the sultans, and beware of associating with them
Fear the sultans, and beware of associating with them,
So long as their state in power remains precarious.
so long as their rule remains unstable.
إنَّindeed المُلوكَthe kings بِحارٌseas فيin خَلائِقِهمtheir dispositions

Indeed, kings in their temperaments are seas;
Indeed, kings are seas in their dispositions,
Whoever ventures upon the sea amid its terrors perishes.
and whoever ventures onto the sea amid its terrors perishes.
