إنْ أعرَضَتْ دُنياكَ عنكَ بِوَجهها

إنْ أعرَضَتْ دُنياكَ عنكَ بِوَجهها

وغَدَتْ ومنها في رِضاكَ نِزاعُ

وغَدَتْ ومنها في رِضاكَ نِزاعُ

If your world turns its face away from you,

If this world turns its face from you

And grows resistant to pleasing you,

And becomes at odds with your contentment

فَاحذَرْ بَنِيْها واحترِزْ من شَرِّهم

فَاحذَرْ بَنِيْها واحترِزْ من شَرِّهم

إنَّ البَنِيْنَ لأُمِّهمْ أتْبَاعُ

إنَّ البَنِيْنَ لأُمِّهمْ أتْبَاعُ

Then beware its sons and guard yourself against their evil;

Then beware of its sons and protect yourself from their evil

Indeed, sons are followers of their mother.

For the sons will surely follow their mother
