إنْ يَشْتَبِهْ رأْيانِ في

إنْ يَشْتَبِهْ رأْيانِ في

شَيءٍ من الأشْيا عَلَيكْ

شَيءٍ من الأشْيا عَلَيكْ

If two opinions seem alike concerning

If two opinions conflict

some matter, in your eyes,

Regarding any matter,

وَضَلَلْتَ عن أوْلاهُما

وَضَلَلْتَ عن أوْلاهُما

فاتْرُكْ أحبَّهما إليكْ

فاتْرُكْ أحبَّهما إليكْ

and you cannot discern the worthier of the two,

And you stray from the sounder of them,

then abandon the one dearer to you.

Then leave the one dearer to you.
