بدَتappeared ليto me أَعلامُlandmarks بيتhouse الهدىguidance
بدَت لي أَعلامُ بيت الهدى
بمكةَin Mecca والنورand the light بادٍmanifest عَليهupon it
بمكةَ والنور بادٍ عَليه
The landmarks of the House of Guidance appeared to me,
The flags of the House of Guidance appeared to me
In Mecca, with light manifest upon it.
In Mecca, and light was shining upon it
فأحرمتso I entered ritual consecration شوقاًout of longing لهfor it بالهوىthrough love
فأحرمت شوقاً له بالهوى
وأهديتand I offered قَلبيmy heart هَدياًas a sacrificial gift إليهto it
وأهديت قَلبي هَدياً إليه
So, longing for it, I consecrated myself through love,
So I made my passionate longing for it sacred
And offered my heart as a sacrificial gift to it.
And I offered my heart to it as a gift
