أحب النبي المصطفى وابنَ عمه

أحب النبي المصطفى وابنَ عمه

علياً وسبطيه وفاطمة الزهرا

علياً وسبطيه وفاطمة الزهرا

I love the chosen Prophet and his cousin,

Ali, and the Prophet's two grandsons, and Fatimah the Radiant.

هم أهل بيت أذهب الرجس عنهم

هم أهل بيت أذهب الرجس عنهم

وأطلعهم افق الهدى انجماً زهرا

وأطلعهم افق الهدى انجماً زهرا

They are the household from whom God removed defilement,

And made them rise on guidance's horizon as radiant stars.

موالاتهم فرض على كل مسلم

موالاتهم فرض على كل مسلم

وحبهم اسنى الذخائر للأخرى

وحبهم اسنى الذخائر للأخرى

Loyalty to them is a duty upon every Muslim,

And love for them is the noblest of treasures for the Hereafter.

وما أنا للصحب الكرام بمبغض

وما أنا للصحب الكرام بمبغض

فاني ارى البغضاء في حقهم كفرا

فاني ارى البغضاء في حقهم كفرا

Nor am I one who hates the noble Companions,

For I consider hatred toward them disbelief.

هم جاهدوا في الله حق جهاده

هم جاهدوا في الله حق جهاده

وهم نصروا دين الله بالضبى نصرا

وهم نصروا دين الله بالضبى نصرا

They strove in God's cause with the striving rightly due to Him,

And they gave God's religion true support with sword blades.

عليهم سلام الله ما دام ذكرهم

عليهم سلام الله ما دام ذكرهم

لدى الملأ الاعلى واكرم به ذكرا

لدى الملأ الاعلى واكرم به ذكرا

Upon them be God's peace, as long as their remembrance endures

In the presence of the Highest Assembly—and how noble a remembrance it is!
