ياO وحشةdesolation الاسلامIslam منbecause of فرقةٍa sect
يا وحشة الاسلام من فرقةٍ
شاغلةٌbusying انفسهاits own selves بالسفهwith folly
شاغلةٌ انفسها بالسفه
How forlorn Islam is because of a sect,
O barrenness of Islam from a group
Busying itself with folly!
That busies itself with foolishness
قدalready نبذَتhas cast aside دينthe religion الهدىof guidance خلفهاbehind it
قد نبذَت دين الهدى خلفها
وادّعتand claimed الحكمةَwisdom والفلسفهand philosophy
وادّعت الحكمةَ والفلسفه
It has cast the religion of guidance behind it,
It has discarded the religion of guidance behind it
And laid claim to wisdom and philosophy.
And claimed wisdom and philosophy
