أيها المستطيل بالبغي اقصر
ربماsometimes طَأطَأbrought low الزَمانtime الرّؤوساthe heads
ربما طَأطَأ الزَمان الرّؤوسا
O you who exalt yourself through oppression, desist.
O rectangle, make your oppression brief
Time has sometimes brought heads low.
Perhaps time has bowed the heads
وتذكّرand remember قولthe words of الالهGod تعالىexalted is He
وتذكّر قول الاله تعالى
إنindeed قارونَQarun كانwas منof قَومthe people of موسىMoses
إن قارونَ كان من قَوم موسى
And remember the words of God, exalted is He:
And recall the word of God the Exalted
Indeed, Qarun was of the people of Moses.
