When worth is great and its bearer gentle,

Then youth in years does not detract from it.

A man is but his two smallest parts when he confronts

the most obstinate of disputants, or an enemy in close combat.

And indeed the forest's lion was once a cub, and its forest

boughs, and the rainclouds' domains were low mounds.
