تَصبَّرBe patient إذاwhen الهمُّsorrow أسرىjourneys by night إليكto you
تَصبَّر إذا الهمُّ أسرى إليك
فلاfor neither الهمُّsorrow يَبقىremains ولاnor صَاحبُهits bearer
فلا الهمُّ يَبقى ولا صَاحبُه
Be patient when sorrow journeys to you by night;
When worry overwhelms, be patient
For neither sorrow nor its bearer remains.
Worry will not remain, nor its master
