واعقد حبال وصالنا يا ظالم
Stop deliberately severing my bond of affection.
Leave off breaking my affection with intent,
Cease deliberately breaking the bond of my affection,
And tie the cords of our union, O unjust one.
And tie again the cords of our accord, my cruel one.
And tie fast the cords of our union, O cruel one.

And you shall surely return, whether you wish it or not,
Whether you wish it or no, you must return to me
For you shall surely return, whether you will it or not,
Against your will, because of what the learned jurist said.
In spite of what the learned jurist did explain.
In spite of all that the learned jurist has proclaimed.
