Sol 6.1

  1. على سيدي مني رقيب محافظ

    وفي لمن والاه ليس بناكث

    Over my lord stands a vigilant guard against me,

    Faithful to whoever befriends him, never breaking faith.

  2. ويقطع أسباب اللبانة في الهوى

    ويفعل فيها فعل بعض الحوادث

    And he cuts off the means of fulfilling desire in love,

    And does to it what certain calamities do.

  3. كأن له في قلبه ريبة ترى

    وفي كل عين مخبر بالأحادث

    As though he had a suspicion in his heart, plain to see,

    And in every eye an informer of happenings.

  4. على كل من حولي رقيبان رتبا

    وقد خصني ذو العرش منهم بثالث

    Over everyone around me two watchers have been appointed,

    And the Lord of the Throne has singled me out with a third among them.
