You came to me as the crescent rose in the sky,
Come to me while the crescent moon rises
You came to me as the crescent in the sky was rising,
Just before the Christians rang their bells,
Just before the Christians ring their bells
Just before the Christians struck their bells,
كحاجبlike the eyebrow الشيخthe old man عمcovered الشيبgray hair أكثرهmost of it
وأخمصand the arch الرجلthe foot فيin لطفٍdelicacy وتقويسand curvature
Like an old man's eyebrow, gray hair covering most of it,
Like the eyebrow of the old sheikh, mostly white
Resembling the eyebrow of an elder, mostly turned gray,
And like the arch of a foot in delicacy and curvature.
And the sole of the foot, delicate and arched
And the sole of a foot in its delicate curvature;

منfrom كلevery لونٍcolor كأذنابlike the tails الطواويسthe peacocks
And God's bow shone on the horizon, taking on
God's rainbow shone on the horizon
And God's bow appeared on the horizon, endowed
Every color, like the tails of peacocks.
With every color like peacocks' tails
With every vibrant color, like the tails of peacocks.
