دفءٌ وشمس الضحى بالجدي نازلةً

وباردٌ ناعمٌ والشمس في الأسد

وباردٌ ناعمٌ والشمس في الأسد

Warmth, while the morning sun descends in Capricorn,

Warmth and the sun of morningtime descending upon the beloved

And cool and soft, while the sun is in Leo.

And cool, gentle, with the sun in Leo

يوم الفارق لعمري لست أكرهه

أصلاً وإن شت شمل الروح عن جسدي

The departing one's day—by my life, I do not hate it

The day of parting - never have I disliked it

At all, even if it sunders my soul from my body.

ففيه عانقت من أهوى بلا جزع
