I have a sharp sword, and it is Shiʿi like its bearer.
I wield a piercing sword, a Shia blade like its bearer,
It almost outstrips my charges toward the champion.
It nearly outstrips my determination in valor,

When al-Muʿizz, the exalter of the faith, unleashes it,
When the Honorer, Honorer of the Faith, drew it,
it deals death without waiting for life's allotted span.
It did not await the approach of death's delay.
