And a slender youth—youthfulness has revealed upon his cheek

A temple-lock, then made his roses shimmer amid his myrtle.

The tawny wine blazes in his cheeks,

Then courses from his eyes through his seated companions.

Until, when his cheek had filled the glass

With light, and wine's fragrance wafted from his breath,

He thought the glass had been filled to the brim with wine,

So he drew near to drink his light from his cup.
