In your mouth, the daisies have blossom and light.
Your radiant face illuminates all with light upon light
The skittish oryx does not pass by like this.
No frowning face compares to such splendor and glory

Who could lend her your manner of walking—
Who is she to find fault in the graceful gait of your steps?
a supple foot and a short step?
So delicate are they, and your pace short and brisk

You captivate the chaste with a coy charm
You chide one whose chastity is beyond reproach
that unsettles the forbearing man, though he is dignified.
Yet the forbearing remains dignified despite your words

Nor does she respond with unseemly, harsh speech
that brings down white-footed ibex bounding on the mountain,
That would bring dishonor, though raging as she may be inside

when early morning is drenched with its dew.
At dawn, disturbing those still asleep

Yet the narcissus and withering rose bid me leave
was a drooping narcissus and a fresh rose,
The garden of your beauty and all its thorns and buds

Your love awakens the living from the dead
honey drawn from it is blended with wine.
And revives the sick, giving them new life

From it, love's stillness is stirred,
God clothed a vision of you in perfect beauty
and in it, one dead of lovesickness is raised.
And all lovely eyes gaze upon you entranced

God clothed a form of yours in beauty,
You've an eye that enchants minds should sorcery spring from it
and the eyes of beautiful women turn toward you.
Bewitching intellects, ever delving deeper

Lids that signal love, speaking from one heart to another
it sinks deep into minds, bearing madness.

Why doesn't it leave this mortal frame and take flight?

copies of the designs it bears.

it is said: 'Can silk imprint silk?'
Leave me be, for a calamity looms ahead

"A King whom even kings fear his might"

"Or else the wolves would prey on livestock unfettered"

His sword protected the frontiers, no enemies daring to breach them

For me, longing thwarts my forgetting;
A generous man - if he were rain, rocks would bloom!
for the faith of guidance, Ali is a champion:
You'd think the sea but a portion of his vast bounty, if not

Does not the rending lion prey upon wolves?
Tell me, who dares vie with Ali's superiority?

He is a predator: his thickets are slender spears of al-Khatt
Impossible to equal, his ways arcane and complex
and palaces, as lofty rank requires.
Through his good deeds he is rich, while iron depends on his might

Resolute, he leveled brown spears for thrusting,
How many fateful battles has he fought, their blood flowing in streams!
whose heads were shattered inside chests.

His sword has guarded the frontiers, so their mouths
Producing corpses of enemies come the Day of Resurrection
never come within reach of the enemies' sipping.
An army whose dawn is dark with bloodshed, death laughing amidst them

Their eggs hatching myriad deaths through the wedding of wars
rocks would sprout leaves from it in drought.
Their darkness like clouds, lightning striking forth rain

Horses, swords, and banners like sea, stream, and pool
that his bounty, when sought, is sweet, wholesome water.
When battle stretched on, even death feared his perseverance

His right hand holding the demise of multitudes, ants writhing!
so formidable to seek and difficult to attain?
He called out while soaring like an eagle, seeming vultures to them

Through his bounty the great sea is rich,
Their powerless talons no match for him

Struck by Ali's hands profusely they perished, stripped of life
