أرى الموتَ مرتعُهُ في الفحول

أرى الموتَ مرتعُهُ في الفحول

وأعننت للأخطئات الأملْ

وأعننت للأخطئات الأملْ

I see death’s pasture among mighty men.

I see death as the pasture of the brave

And I have exposed hope to the shots that miss.

And I yearned for the hopes of mistakes

وَرُبَّتما سالَ بعضُ النُّفوسِ

وَرُبَّتما سالَ بعضُ النُّفوسِ

وبعضٌ لها بالمُنى مُشْتَغَل

وبعضٌ لها بالمُنى مُشْتَغَل

And sometimes some lifeblood flows,

Often some souls ask

while others find distraction in wishes.

And some are busy with wishes
