إذاif رأيتَyou see ملوكَthe kings الأرْضِof the earth قدhave نظرواthey gazed
إذا رأيتَ ملوكَ الأرْضِ قد نظروا
إلىtoward السّماءِthe sky فكلّthen all الخوْفِfear فيin النّظرِthe gaze
إلى السّماءِ فكلّ الخوْفِ في النّظرِ
When you see the kings of the earth turn their gaze
If you see the kings of the earth gazing
toward heaven, then all fear lies in that gaze;
Toward heaven, all fear lies in that gaze.
فإنهُمْfor indeed they يتّقونَthey guard against البَطْشَthe onslaught مِنْfrom مَلِكٍa king
فإنهُمْ يتّقونَ البَطْشَ مِنْ مَلِكٍ
مُنَفّذٍexecuting أمْرَهُhis command كاللَّمحِlike a flash بالبصرِwith the eye
مُنَفّذٍ أمْرَهُ كاللَّمحِ بالبصرِ
for they fear the crushing might of a King
For they dread the onslaught of a King
who executes his command in the blink of an eye.
