لحظّك بالعُلى بالفوزِ قِدْحُ

لحظّك بالعُلى بالفوزِ قِدْحُ

وذَكرِك في غريب المجد شَرْحُ

وذَكرِك في غريب المجد شَرْحُ

Your share in eminence has a winning lot-arrow;

Your moment with glory's zenith aligned,

And your renown elucidates the rare wonders of glory.

And your name with strange glory intertwined,

رأيتُ مُحمداً والناسَ طرّاً

رأيتُ مُحمداً والناسَ طرّاً

شَكا وشَكوا فلَمّا صحّ صحّوا

شَكا وشَكوا فلَمّا صحّ صحّوا

I saw Muhammad and all the people:

I saw Muhammad while people bustled about,

He suffered, and they suffered; then, when he recovered, they recovered.

He complained and they complained until health prevailed and they recovered,

مُحِبّكَ في التّقى بهداكَ يُهْدى

مُحِبّكَ في التّقى بهداكَ يُهْدى

وينحو في العُلى ما أنْت تنحو

وينحو في العُلى ما أنْت تنحو

He who loves you is guided in piety by your guidance,

Your lover in piety is guided by your guidance,

And in eminence he pursues what you pursue.

And ascends heights wherever you ascend,

فَبُلّغْتَ المُنى فيه ومَرّتْ

فَبُلّغْتَ المُنى فيه ومَرّتْ

به تلك الليالي وهي صُلْحُ

به تلك الليالي وهي صُلْحُ

May you thus be granted your hopes for him, and may there pass

You attained the wish in him and there passed

Over him those nights, at peace.

Through him those nights while they reconciled,

ونلتَ سعادةً ما اسودّ ليلٌ

ونلتَ سعادةً ما اسودّ ليلٌ

وعينَ كرامةٍ ما ابيضّ صبحُ

وعينَ كرامةٍ ما ابيضّ صبحُ

And may you attain happiness as long as night grows black,

And you attained a happiness no night has blackened,

And honor’s very essence as long as dawn grows white.

And an eye of nobility no dawn has whitened,

فَرَفْعُ النجمِ في علياكَ خَفْضٌ

فَرَفْعُ النجمِ في علياكَ خَفْضٌ

وفَيْضُ البَحرِ في نُعماكَ رشحُ

وفَيْضُ البَحرِ في نُعماكَ رشحُ

For the star’s height is low beside your loftiness;

So raising the star in your heights is lowering,

And the sea’s overflow is a trickle beside your bounty.

And the sea's abundance in your bounty is sprinkling.
