If this blind man vexes me
If this blind man troubles me
With an argument as closed as his eye,
With a claim as blind as his closed eyes,
فوقعthen may it fall السوسthe woodworm فيin عصاهhis staff ولاand not
فوقع السوس في عصاه ولا
بوركmay blessing be bestowed فيon قسطهhis share منof الصدقةthe alms
بورك في قسطه من الصدقة
Then may woodworm infest his staff, and may
May termites fall on his stick and may
His share of alms go unblessed.
No blessing come from his share of alms.
