أبْدَعَ حُسْني يوسُفٌ

أبْدَعَ حُسْني يوسُفٌ

لمّا تجلّى وظهَرْ

لمّا تجلّى وظهَرْ

Yusuf made my beauty wondrous

Yusuf's beauty was revealed

When he revealed himself and appeared.

When he appeared and was seen

فحُمْرَتي في ذَهَبي

فحُمْرَتي في ذَهَبي

ورْدٌ بهِ حفَّ الزَّهَرْ

ورْدٌ بهِ حفَّ الزَّهَرْ

So my redness in my gold

My blush in his gold

Is a rose around which blossoms have gathered.

A rose, with it enclosed the flower
