To you, then, comes a prized maiden of lovely praise,

Whose tether eloquence has untied for panegyric.

She comes to show you pearls of verse,

Encircling the neck of nights with her cascading strands.

Clouds of generosity have watered her gardens,

So afterward she never complains of drought.

Her rhymes summoned your praises, which

My thought before you obeyed and prolonged.

You are surely the best hoped-for patron who listened to her,

Straightened her leaning tree, and relieved her.

How great is your dynasty, whose

Qualities I compose in verse, while everyone listens!

May you remain immortal, O honor of kings,

For through your mighty victory their hopes were fulfilled.

All creation has asked God for you

Long life, and He has answered its request.
