لَئِنْ أصبَحَتْ كفُّ موْلايَ أفقاً

لَئِنْ أصبَحَتْ كفُّ موْلايَ أفقاً

فإنّيَ أُطْلِعْتُ فيهِ هِلالا

فإنّيَ أُطْلِعْتُ فيهِ هِلالا

If indeed my lord’s palm has become a horizon,

If the palm of my master has become a horizon,

then I have been made to rise within it as a crescent moon;

then I have seen in it a new moon.

وتنْقَضُّ فيه سِهامي نجوماً

وتنْقَضُّ فيه سِهامي نجوماً

لرَجْمِ العِدَى حيثُ حَلّوا حِلالا

لرَجْمِ العِدَى حيثُ حَلّوا حِلالا

and my arrows swoop down within it like stars,

And my arrows scatter in it as stars,

to pelt the foes wherever they have made camp.
