سَمْعاً فإنْ عُدّدَتْ أوصافُ مجدِكُمُ

سَمْعاً فإنْ عُدّدَتْ أوصافُ مجدِكُمُ

لا يأخذُ الشُهْبَ إحْصاءٌ وتَعدادُ

لا يأخذُ الشُهْبَ إحْصاءٌ وتَعدادُ

Give ear, for should the qualities of your glory be numbered,

no reckoning or tally can encompass the bright stars.

مِنّا الصّلاةُ عليكُمْ والسّلامُ إذا

مِنّا الصّلاةُ عليكُمْ والسّلامُ إذا

ما كان للذِّكْرِ في الأفْواهِ ترْدادُ

ما كان للذِّكْرِ في الأفْواهِ ترْدادُ

From us, blessings and peace upon you, whenever

remembrance is repeated upon the lips.

والحقُّ مرْتَقى السّبعِ الطِّباقِ لكُمْ

والحقُّ مرْتَقى السّبعِ الطِّباقِ لكُمْ

لا زُخْرُفٌ شادَهُ عادٌ وشدّادُ

لا زُخْرُفٌ شادَهُ عادٌ وشدّادُ

And truly, ascent through the seven layered heavens is yours,

not gilded splendor raised by ʿĀd and Shaddād.

تُزْهى بجدَّيْكُمُ السَّبْطيْنِ في ملأٍ

تُزْهى بجدَّيْكُمُ السَّبْطيْنِ في ملأٍ

من الرّسالةِ آباءٌ وأجْدادُ

من الرّسالةِ آباءٌ وأجْدادُ

Your two forebears, the two grandsons, bring pride to an assembly

of fathers and forefathers of the prophetic mission.

وتجْتَلي النّورَ نورَ اللهِ أوجُهُكُمْ

وتجْتَلي النّورَ نورَ اللهِ أوجُهُكُمْ

ويُحرَمُ الفوْزَ كُفّارٌ وأضْدادُ

ويُحرَمُ الفوْزَ كُفّارٌ وأضْدادُ

And your faces behold the light—the light of God,

and unbelievers and adversaries are denied triumph.

إنّ الرّضيَّ لكُمْ والمرْتَضى نسَبٌ

إنّ الرّضيَّ لكُمْ والمرْتَضى نسَبٌ

يزْدانُ مظهَرُهُ نوراً ويزْدادُ

يزْدانُ مظهَرُهُ نوراً ويزْدادُ

Indeed, al-Raḍī and al-Murtaḍā are your lineage,

whose outward form is adorned with light and grows still brighter.

فمَنْ يجاري مَداكُمْ والسّباقُ بكُمْ

فمَنْ يجاري مَداكُمْ والسّباقُ بكُمْ

لهُ منَ العالَمِ العُلْويّ إمْدادُ

لهُ منَ العالَمِ العُلْويّ إمْدادُ

Who, then, can rival your reach, when the race you run

receives support from the world above?

ما لِي يدانِ بشُكْري من نَدى يدِكُمْ

ما لِي يدانِ بشُكْري من نَدى يدِكُمْ

رُحْمى لها السّحْبُ أكْفاءٌ وأندادُ

رُحْمى لها السّحْبُ أكْفاءٌ وأندادُ

My two hands cannot offer thanks enough for your hand’s bounty—

a mercy whose equals and peers are the clouds.

لازالَ إجمالكُمْ لي عُدّةً أبداً

لازالَ إجمالكُمْ لي عُدّةً أبداً

تَتْرى بغيْرِ تَناهٍ منهُ أعدادُ

تَتْرى بغيْرِ تَناهٍ منهُ أعدادُ

May your kindness ever remain my provision,

its many favors following one another without end.
