كأنّas though الزُهْرَthe bright stars فيin أفُقِthe horizon of الدّياجيthe dark nights
كأنّ الزُهْرَ في أفُقِ الدّياجي
أزاهِرُflowers لُحْنَthey shone فيin خُضْرِthe green stretches of البِطاحِthe plains
أزاهِرُ لُحْنَ في خُضْرِ البِطاحِ
As though the bright stars on the horizon of dark nights
As if flowers on the horizon of mist
Were flowers shining amid the green plains.
Melodies blooming in the green valley
تأمّلْcontemplate إنّهاindeed, they are أسْرارُsecrets of غيْبٍthe unseen
تأمّلْ إنّها أسْرارُ غيْبٍ

تضمّنَ كتْمَها صدْرُ الصّباحِ
Contemplate them: they are secrets of the unseen,
Contemplate, they are secrets of the unseen
Which the breast of morning has undertaken to conceal.
Kept hidden in the bosom of the dawn
