The Caliph Yusuf's Opinion

comes, as does my piercing arrow,

Comes effective, my arrows

من فِكرِه أو كفّهِ

من فِكرِه أو كفّهِ

ليُصيبَ شاكِلةَ الرّمي

ليُصيبَ شاكِلةَ الرّمي

from his thought or his hand,

From his thoughts or hands

to strike the intended mark.

To hit the target he aims
