Since I passed fifty, I see gray hair ceaselessly
Since passing fifty I see gray hairs daily
creeping as dawn creeps through the gloom of darkness.
Creeping like dawn's first light into the darkness.
هُوَit السُقمُillness إِلّاexcept أَنَّهُthat it غَيرُnot مُؤلِمٍpainful

It is an illness, except that it is not painful;
It's an illness, though it doesn't cause me pain.
And I have never seen a painless illness like gray hair.
I've never known an illness so free of hurt.
