Eyes that sleep never visits,
Eyes that insomnia cannot subdue
Nor does sleeplessness efface their charms.
Their beauty unchanged by time’s wear and tear

When night shakes hands with them, they shed tears,
When night embraces them they shine bright
And laugh when the darkness recedes.
Laughing as darkness fades into thin air

They have pupils of refined gold,
Orbs of purest gold, a craftsman’s jewel
Fashioned by the One to whom servants submit.
Worthy of worship by all men who dare

Lids made of lustrous pearls obtained
A radiance whose like cannot be acquired.
With a radiance no other can compare

On stems of emerald their gaze alights
Lies what the eyes of those who gaze upon them desire.
Entrancing the eyes of those who stare
