وَمَن تَكُ نُزهَتهُ قَينَةٌ

وَمَن تَكُ نُزهَتهُ قَينَةٌ

وَكَأسٌ تُحَثُّ وَأُخرى تُصَب

وَكَأسٌ تُحَثُّ وَأُخرى تُصَب

And if one's recreation is a singing girl,

And a cup pressed upon him, and another poured,

فَنُزهَتُنا وَاِستِراحَتُنا

فَنُزهَتُنا وَاِستِراحَتُنا

تَلاقي العُيون وَدَرسُ الكُتُب

تَلاقي العُيون وَدَرسُ الكُتُب

Then our recreation and our repose

Are the meeting of eyes and the study of books.
