أَهلاً وَسَهلاً بِاللَّذينَ أَودُّهُم

أَهلاً وَسَهلاً بِاللَّذينَ أَودُّهُم

وَأُحِبُّهُم في اللَهِ ذي الآلاءِ

وَأُحِبُّهُم في اللَهِ ذي الآلاءِ

A warm welcome to those I cherish,

Welcome, welcome to those I love and cherish

And whom I love for the sake of God, possessor of blessings.

In the name of God, the Bountiful

أَهلاً بِقَومٍ صالِحينَ ذَوي تُقىً

أَهلاً بِقَومٍ صالِحينَ ذَوي تُقىً

غُرِّ الوُجوهِ وَزَينِ كُلِّ مَلاءِ

غُرِّ الوُجوهِ وَزَينِ كُلِّ مَلاءِ

Welcome to righteous people endowed with piety,

Welcome to the righteous, pious people

Radiant of face and the adornment of every gathering.

Of radiant faces and adorned attire

يَسعونَ في طَلَبِ الحَديثِ بِعِفَّةٍ

يَسعونَ في طَلَبِ الحَديثِ بِعِفَّةٍ

وَتَوَقُّرٍ وَسَكينَةٍ وَحَياءِ

وَتَوَقُّرٍ وَسَكينَةٍ وَحَياءِ

They strive in pursuit of Hadith with self-restraint,

Seeking knowledge with utmost modesty

And dignity, tranquility, and modesty.

Reverence, tranquility and shyness

لَهُمُ المَهابَةُ وَالجَلالَةُ وَالنُهى

لَهُمُ المَهابَةُ وَالجَلالَةُ وَالنُهى

وَفَضائِل جَلَّت عَنِ الإِحصاءِ

وَفَضائِل جَلَّت عَنِ الإِحصاءِ

Theirs are an awe-inspiring presence, majesty, and wisdom,

To them belong awe, glory and authority

And virtues too great to be counted.

Virtues beyond any count or tally

وَمِدادُ ما تَجري بِهِ أَقلامُهُم

وَمِدادُ ما تَجري بِهِ أَقلامُهُم

أَزكى وَأَفضَلُ مِن دَمِ الشُهَداءِ

أَزكى وَأَفضَلُ مِن دَمِ الشُهَداءِ

And the ink with which their pens flow

The ink of their pens is more virtuous

Is purer and better than the blood of martyrs.

Than the blood shed by martyrs

يا طالِبي عِلمَ النَبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

يا طالِبي عِلمَ النَبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

ما أَنتُم وَسِواكُمُ بِسَواءِ

ما أَنتُم وَسِواكُمُ بِسَواءِ

O seekers of the knowledge of the Prophet Muhammad,

O seekers of Prophet Muhammad's knowledge

You and others are not on equal footing.

None can compare or match your stature
