إِنَّindeed الَّذيthat which أَبقَيتَyou left مِنof جَسمِهِhis body
إِنَّ الَّذي أَبقَيتَ مِن جَسمِهِ
ياO مُتلِفَdestroyer of الصَبِّthe lovesick man وَلَمand did not يَشعُرِnotice
يا مُتلِفَ الصَبِّ وَلَم يَشعُرِ
Indeed, what you have left of his body,
The remnants of his body which you left,
O destroyer of the lovesick man, while he was unaware,
O destroyer of youth, without his notice,
صبابَةًa scant remnant لَوif أَنَّهاthat it دَمعَةٌa tear
صبابَةً لَو أَنَّها دَمعَةٌ
تَجولُwanders فيin جَفنِكَyour eyelid لَمnot تَقطُرِfall
تَجولُ في جَفنِكَ لَم تَقطُرِ
is a scant remnant—were it a tear
If it were a teardrop meandering
wandering in your eyelid, it would not fall.
In your eyelids, it would not drip.
