فقلت قولاً فيه إنصاف

Someone asked, “How did you two become estranged?”

Someone asked, "Why did you two part?"

So I gave an answer that was fair:

I answered fairly, "We were not of one form -

لم يك من شكلي فناكرته

لم يك من شكلي فناكرته

والناس أشكالٌ وآلاف

والناس أشكالٌ وآلاف

“He was not of my kind, so I treated him as a stranger;

I did not recognize him in his guise

And people have their own kinds and close companions.”

And people have thousands of forms."
