وغرهماand deceived them both سكونsubsiding حمىfever جبينيmy brow
I say to my two companions, who have consoled me,
I say to my companions, leave me be
And whom the subsiding fever in my brow has deceived:
Though fever burns my brow, let me just see
تسلوtake comfort بالتعزيthrough consolation عنover أخيكمyour brother
وخوضواand immerse yourselves فيin الدعاءprayer وودعونيand bid me farewell
Console yourselves over the loss of your brother,
Console yourselves, my friends, and let me rest
And immerse yourselves in prayer and bid me farewell.
With prayer and blessing, leave me to my nest
فلمfor ... did not أدعI give up الأنينmoaning لضعفbecause of the weakening of سقمillness
ولكنيbut I ضعفتI grew too weak عنfor الأنينmoaning
For I did not stop moaning because my illness had eased,
It's not that sickness stilled my moaning cries
But I had grown too weak to moan.
But moaning itself left me and here lies
