لجرمي عقابٌ والتجاوز ممكنٌ

وأولاهما من صح صدقه

وأولاهما من صح صدقه

There is punishment for my offense, yet pardon is possible.

My crime merits punishment, yet forgiveness is possible.

And the worthier of the two is he whose sincerity is proven.

The best of these is one whose truth rings clear -

فإن لم تجاوز حسب ما تستحقه

فإن لم تجاوز حسب ما تستحقه

فلا تتجاوز حسب ما أستحقه

فلا تتجاوز حسب ما أستحقه

So if you do not pardon in keeping with what you deserve,

Do not exceed what I deserve,

then do not go beyond what I deserve.

Just as I should not exceed what you deserve.
