ثم أَحْيَيتَ فجرَهُمْ يا ابنَ يحيى

ثم أَحْيَيتَ فجرَهُمْ يا ابنَ يحيى

بِسِراجَيْنِ نورِ دينِ ودُنيا

بِسِراجَيْنِ نورِ دينِ ودُنيا

Then you revived their dawn, O son of Yahya,

Then you revived their dawn, O son of Yahya

With two lamps—the light of faith and of worldly life.

With two lights, of religion and world

وخَلَفْتَ السحابَ ظِلّاً وجُوداً

وخَلَفْتَ السحابَ ظِلّاً وجُوداً

فَوَسِعْتَ الإِسلامَ سَقياً ورَعْيا

فَوَسِعْتَ الإِسلامَ سَقياً ورَعْيا

And you took the clouds’ place in shade and bounty,

And you left the clouds as shade and generosity

So you encompassed Islam with water and care.

So you expanded Islam, watering and pasturing

وتَحَلَّيْتَ من تُجيبَ سناءً

وتَحَلَّيْتَ من تُجيبَ سناءً

كنت فيه لِلدينِ والملكِ مَحْيا

كنت فيه لِلدينِ والملكِ مَحْيا

And you adorned yourself with glory from Tujib,

And you adorned those who answer glory

In it, you were a source of life for faith and kingship.

In it you were the protector of religion and kingdom
