ياO رَبّناour Lord بالبيتِby the House والمقامِand the Station
يا رَبّنا بالبيتِ والمقامِ
بَلِّغْconvey سَلاميmy greetings للنَّبيto the Prophet التِّهاميof Tihamah
بَلِّغْ سَلامي للنَّبي التِّهامي
O our Lord, by the House and the Station,
O Lord, in the home and abode
Convey my greetings to the Prophet of Tihamah.
Convey my greetings to the honest Prophet
حادِيcamel-driver السُّرىnight travel قِفْhalt بيwith me علىat الأعلامthe landmarks
حادِي السُّرى قِفْ بي على الأعلام
لِيَشْتَفيso that it may find relief قَلبيmy heart مِنَfrom الغرامِlove’s torment
لِيَشْتَفي قَلبي مِنَ الغرامِ
O camel-driver of the night journey, halt with me at the landmarks,
Leader of the righteous, stop by the flags
So that my heart may find relief from love’s torment.
So my heart may find solace from love's agony
