You have gone to excess, O soul, in acting young;

The gray hair at the back of the head is admonition enough;
The gray hair of old age is enough of a sermon
The preacher of gray hair has already said it.
So said the aged preacher
وغايةُand the destination of النجمthe star فيin شروقٍrising

When a horizon reveals it, is to set.
Only to descend into the sunset
