قَطَعْتُ من يَومين بَطّيخةً
وَجَدْتُI found فيهاin it جَعْسَa turd مَصْموديof a Masmudi
وَجَدْتُ فيها جَعْسَ مَصْمودي
I cut open a watermelon two days ago.
Two days ago I cut a melon
I found a Masmudi's turd inside it.
And found inside a frozen cricket.
قالواthey said خرىshat الخوليthe gardener فيat أَصلهاits root
قالوا خرى الخولي في أَصلها
أَيّامَduring the days of جَرْيflowing الماءthe water فيthrough العودthe stalk
أَيّامَ جَرْي الماء في العود
They said the gardener had shat at its root
They say it entered as a grub
In the days when water flowed through the stalk.
In days when sap was flowing through.
