قدindeed كَمّلَperfected اللهُGod بِرذونيmy horse بَمْنقَصةِwith a flaw
وشانَهand marred him بعدَafter ماthat (introducing an action) أعماهُHe blinded him بالعَرَجwith lameness
God has indeed perfected my horse with a flaw,
God has completed me with a limp,
And marred him with lameness after blinding him.
And after blinding me, diminished my status,
أسيرI travel مثلَlike أسيرٍa captive وَهَوand he يَعرُجlimps بيwith me
كأنّهas though he ماشياًwalking ينحطُdescends منْfrom دَرَجsteps
I travel like a captive as he limps along carrying me,
I walk like a prisoner limping along,
As though, while walking, he were descending steps.
As if going down steps and stumbling.
فإنْso if رَمانيhe throws me علىdespite ماwhat فيهِis in him منof عرجٍlameness
فماthen not عليهupon him إذاif ماever (emphatic) متُI die منany حَرَجblame
So if he throws me, despite his lameness,
So if he casts me for what I have of limps,
Then, if I die, no blame rests on him.
I have no issue if I die without hardship.
