رَأيتُI have seen الملحَsalt يُصلِحُimproves كُلَّevery أدمٍfood eaten with bread
رَأيتُ الملحَ يُصلِحُ كُلَّ أدمٍ
صلاحَwell-being النّفْسِof the soul يبسُطُهاcheers it المزاحُjesting
صلاحَ النّفْسِ يبسُطُها المزاحُ
I have seen salt improve every dish;
Jesting cheers the soul and brings it well-being.
فَهَلْso is there? منْany حيلةٍremedy فيfor الملحِsalt يَبْدوappears
فَهَلْ منْ حيلةٍ في الملحِ يَبْدو
فسادٌcorruption فيهِwithin it والملحُwhile salt الصّلاحُis what sets things right
فسادٌ فيهِ والملحُ الصّلاحُ
So is there any remedy for salt when there appears
Corruption within it, though salt itself sets things right?
