فَرَسٌ تَراهُ إذا سَرى

للضّعف يمشي القهقرى

A horse you see when it gallops

Walking backwards due to weakness

يحكي سكابَ سوى المحا

سن لا يُباعُ فَيُشْتَرى

It describes glory beyond reproach

Teeth that are not for sale to be bought

وكأنّه الفتّالُ يَمشي

في الطّريقِ إلى ورا

As if it were the conqueror walking
