فَسّرَinterpreted ليfor me عابرٌa dream interpreter مناماa dream
فَسّرَ لي عابرٌ مناما
أَحسَنَdid well فيin قَولهhis speech وأَجملْand spoke elegantly
أَحسَنَ في قَوله وأَجملْ
A dream interpreter explained a dream to me.
A passerby interpreted for me a dream
He spoke well and elegantly.
Nicely did he speak and beautifully
وقالَand he said لاno بُدَِّescape منfrom طُلوعٍa rising
وقالَ لا بُدَِّ من طُلوعٍ
فكانَso was ذاكthat الطلوعُthe rising دُمّلْa boil
فكانَ ذاك الطلوعُ دُمّلْ
And said, “There must be a rising.”
He said there must be an emergence
So that rising turned out to be a boil.
And that emergence was stained
