I had indeed been mistaken about al-Fakhr,
I was once prideful and lost
when I came to him with sincere loyalty.
When I came to him, true to my loyalty
I discerned his true nature إذwhen دَعوهُthey called him فَخراًFakhr ('pride')

I found him to be truly proud
so he was 'Fakhr' without the letter fāʾ (f).
When I called him proud without merit
