دَعوتني للعرسِ يا سَيِّدي

دَعوتني للعرسِ يا سَيِّدي

فَكدْتُ أنْ أحضَرَ من أمسِ

فَكدْتُ أنْ أحضَرَ من أمسِ

You invited me to the wedding, O my lord;

You invited me to the wedding, my master

so I nearly came as early as yesterday.

I almost attended yesterday

وَهَا أنا الليلةَ في دارِكم

وَهَا أنا الليلةَ في دارِكم

فالكلْبُ ما يهربُ من عرْسِ

فالكلْبُ ما يهربُ من عرْسِ

And here I am tonight in your home—

And here I am tonight in your house

for a dog does not run away from a wedding.

So the dog won't miss the feast
