Whoever takes what is other than God as manifest,

It becomes his superior and chief.

And he proceeds with wisdom; if he reaches the utmost limit,

He becomes a prisoner of the ladies of the bridal chambers.

Then, when that companion is revealed to his heart,

The base appears precious with the unveiling.

And he knows that the Real is within him, so he is not

A companion to any but God in witnessing.

When I knew [unclear word], I knew my true nature.

So I opened my heart to whoever wished to sit.
