إذا حرنا وحار الناسُ فينا

إذا حرنا وحار الناسُ فينا

وأسكناهم البلد الأمينا

وأسكناهم البلد الأمينا

When we are bewildered and people are bewildered by us,

and we settle them in the secure city,

عرفنا الحقَّ حقاً فاتبعنا

عرفنا الحقَّ حقاً فاتبعنا

فكنا في القيامة آمنينا

فكنا في القيامة آمنينا

we have truly known the Truth and followed it,

and so shall be safe at the Resurrection.

ولولا ذاك ما كنا عبيداً

ولولا ذاك ما كنا عبيداً

بما قال المهيمنُ غالبينا

بما قال المهيمنُ غالبينا

And were it not for that, we would not be servants,

victorious through what the Guardian has said.

ويشهدنا الأمور كما علمنا

ويشهدنا الأمور كما علمنا

فنقطع نجدها حيناً فحينا

فنقطع نجدها حيناً فحينا

And He lets us witness things just as we knew them,

so we traverse their high ground, time after time.

رأيتُ أئمة كُبَّارَ قومٍ

رأيتُ أئمة كُبَّارَ قومٍ

أضلُّوا بعدما ضَلُّوا يقينا

أضلُّوا بعدما ضَلُّوا يقينا

I saw leaders, the great men of a people,

who led others astray after surely going astray themselves.

فإنْ عزموا على إبطال حقٍّ

فإنْ عزموا على إبطال حقٍّ

وكانوا في الشريعةِ ممترينا

وكانوا في الشريعةِ ممترينا

So if they resolve to nullify a truth,

and are doubtful about the sacred Law,

فإنَّ الله يهلكهم ذهاباً

فإنَّ الله يهلكهم ذهاباً

ويأتيكم بقومٍ آخرينا

ويأتيكم بقومٍ آخرينا

then God will destroy them, sweeping them away,

and bring you another people.

ونخزيهم وينصرُكم عليهم

ونخزيهم وينصرُكم عليهم

ويشفي صدورَ قومٍ مؤمنينا

ويشفي صدورَ قومٍ مؤمنينا

And we will disgrace them, and He will grant you victory over them,

and heal the breasts of a believing people.

أقول لهم وقد كفروا بقولي

أقول لهم وقد كفروا بقولي

كفرتم بئسَ عُقبى الكافرينا

كفرتم بئسَ عُقبى الكافرينا

I say to them, who have disbelieved in my words:

“You have disbelieved! Wretched is the disbelievers’ final fate!”

أنا الشخص الذي ما زال قولي

أنا الشخص الذي ما زال قولي

يراه ذو النهُّى الحق المبينا

يراه ذو النهُّى الحق المبينا

I am the one whose words are still

seen by the discerning as the manifest Truth.
