Through wealth, every difficult thing yields,

in the world of earth and heaven.

    لم يعرفوا لذةَ العطاءِ

    A scholar considers it a veil;

they have not known the delight of giving.

Were it not for what souls contain of it,

    God would not answer supplication.

Do not think wealth is what you see

of gold gleaming before a beholder.

Rather, my dear son, it is whatever has made you

    self-sufficient, needing nothing else.

So be rich through the Lord on high,

and deal faithfully with the Real.
